The Monastery's uniquely beautiful natural surroundings
The monastery is built on a crest of the southern slopes of Mt. Kissavos (Ossa), four km west of the village Anatoli of Agia, at an altitude of 1080 m. Surrounded by ancient oak trees, the original and newer buildings together with the gardens and flocks fit harmoniously into the breathtakingly natural surroundings.
"The Lord God took the human being, whom He had formed, and put him in Paradise to work it and keep it." (Genesis 2:15)
